MY BABY IS 2!

My littlest angel turned 2 today and I can't believe it. Where has the time gone?

A Proverb

My son, keep your father's commands and do not forsake your mother's teaching. Bind them upon your heart forever; fasten them around your neck. When you walk, they will guide you; when you sleep, they will watch over you; when you awake, they will speak to you.
~Proverbs 6:20-2

DANCE RECITAL

THE HONEY BEE & THE ROSE
For the 2008-09 school year Jordan and Carson each took a ballet class at Columbus DanceArts Academy. This was Jordan's third year of dance and Carson took a class because it worked out with our schedule (and although he enjoyed it, last year was his first and last year). Each year in May the dance studio puts on a mini show featuring dancers age 2 thru kindergarten, and Jordan and Carson performed this year. The theme for this year's mini show was The Enchanted Garden and all of the characters were garden themed; Carson was a honey bee and Jordan was a rose (the show also included ladybugs, ranibows, sunshine, rain, gloworms, butterflies, and songbirds). Both kids looked absolutely adorable and they both did an excellent job.

NEWPORT AQUARIUM & CREATION MUSEUM

I know I am way behind updating my blog, but I am here now and attempting to catch up.

Back in May (I KNOW!) we took the kids on a mini family vacation to the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area. Our main reason for going was to visit the Creation Museum and we decided that since we would be so close we would also stop at the Newport Aquarium. Turns out the kids thought the Aquarium was the main attraction and the Creation Museum was the bonus stop.

We visited the Newport Aquarium the first day and Jordan and Carson absolutely loved it! They were totally into seeing all the animals and Jordan was brave enough to pet a shark. Corinne liked seeing the animals and refused to take a nap, but all in all it was a success.

The next day we visited the Creation Museum, which in our mind was the main attraction and real purpose of the trip. The kids loved exploring the grounds and seeing the OT Bible scenes, but most of the exhibit features and information were over their heads. The grounds of the museum are totally gorgeous and the kids had a great time walking the paths, going over the bridges, and seeing the dinosaur statues. We plan to make a second visit to the Creation Museum when the kids are significantly older.
