8/19/15 Made final decision to say yes and sent our LOI to our agency! Thus begins the wait for the official file (agency coordinator told us she expects it in about 3-4 weeks)

8/17/15 Sent email to agency coordinator with random question and received reply along with a note to please call her on her direct line when I had a chance - I called her immediately. She told me that the other family had decided not pursue the little girl and that if we wanted to review her file it was ours. What!? Crazy! We said absolutely we want to review it!

8/12/15 Our home study is finally officially transferred to our new home study agency and the update can officially be completed.

8/4/15 Received email from agency that the other family was moving forward with the adoption of the sweet one I thought was ours

7/27/15 Saw a little face on our agency's waiting child list and thought, "Oh my word, I think she is meant to be ours!" Sent Jason the link with the message "I want her!" and emailed our agency right away; reply froma agency that another family had already inquired about her and they would put us on the list (they had just photo listed her on their website July 24)

7/26/15 Home study update visit with new HS agency

6/23/15 Officially applied to new home study agency and began process of HS transfer and update; began gathering, filling out, and updating paper work

2/20/15 Applied to and accepted by new agency (placing agency)

2/10/15 - 8/12/15  I'm not going to post the entire timeline or all of the details of our agency switch, but suffice it to say that the whole ordeal was a nightmare and in the process (which should have been simple and straightforward but took months and months) we learned that our first agency is very unethical. I am so glad we left, but it was a very long, difficult, and stressful process.
