August - Vacation

In mid-August we went on a big family vacation with Grammy, GramJan, Aunt Weazie, Uncle Greg, and cousins Owen and Tyler to Deep Creek, Maryland. After about 4 hours of driving Justin was done, and although it took longer than planned we made it with most of our sanity in tact. The weather was not quite as nice/warm as we were hoping for, but the house had an indoor heated pool so the kids were happy and everyone had a great time!

Our first adventure at the Wisp was riding the Mountain Coaster and it was SO fun!

Then Jordan, Carson, and cousin Tyler did the kid size canopy course while the other kids explored the playground.

We rounded out our vacation with a trip to one of the lake beaches,

and although it was a little chilly everyone had fun.

A Sad Goodbye - Bunchie

This week we said a very sad goodbye to our sweet kitty Bunchie. Carson and Corinne took it really hard (as did I), and their tears about broke my heart. Bunchie was our first 'baby' and after 15 1/2 years with him he will be much missed.

Birthday Girl

I can't believe I'm about to type this, but my baby girl turns 7 today!

This is how I think of her - a sweet, precious, and adorable baby:

As always Corinne had several birthday parties including two extended family parties

and a celebration at The Melting Pot. Her birthday present from mom and dad was getting her ears pierced - she was so brave and didn't shed a tear!

Corinne, you are a bright spot in our lives and we are so blessed to call you our daughter! 

We love you more than you will ever know!

Fly Boy

Carson has been interested in planes (specifically military planes) and flying for quite awhile now, but just recently he had the chance to go up with a friend of ours and now he is absolutely smitten with flying, and since our friend is now an instructor we have decided to allow Carson to take flying lessons with her every 6-8 weeks (weather permitting) and he absolutely LOVES it!
