We started our morning off by going on a boat ride along the Qin Huai River and canals of Nanjing which was beautiful. We traveled right before Chinese New Year which is the biggest holiday in China, so much of the city was in the process of being decorated for the upcoming celebration.
After the boat ride we visited the Confucius Temple which was originally constructed in 1034 in the Song Dynasty.
Confucius (551–479 BC) was a Chinese teacher, editor, politician, and philosopher of the Spring and Autumn period of Chinese history. The philosophy of Confucius emphasized personal and governmental morality, correctness of social relationships, justice and sincerity. Confucius's principles had a basis in common Chinese tradition and belief. He championed strong family loyalty, ancestor worship, respect of elders by their children and of husbands by their wives. He also recommended family as a basis for ideal government. He espoused the well-known principle "Do not do to others what you do not want done to yourself", an early version of the Golden Rule.

After the street markets we headed back to the hotel for a quick lunch (I can't even remember where or what we ate) and get ready to meet Justin Li!
But first a quick peek at our angels back home having fun with cousin Tyler at Aunt Weazie and Uncle Greg's!
