We started the morning like all of our other mornings in China - with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. All of the hotels we stayed at have had huge breakfast buffets included in the room price and this one was no exception.

Breakfast smiles |
After breakfast we headed out to Zhongshan Mountain where we climbed
a bunch of steps (my legs were having flashbacks to the Great Wall), but the view from the top was breathtaking and totally worth it!

Justin hung out in the front carrier and slept most of the morning |

This was really our group's first outing since getting the babies and we got lots of looks (and some stares and pointing), but most people were nice and just seemed curious. These ladies were working in some of the shops that we stopped at and they stopped us and wanted to chat about why we were adopting Chinese children. Our guide, Zhou, explained that all the babies had some type of special need and by adopting them and bringing them to the US they would be able to receive good medical care and/or surgeries.
That night we all went out to dinner at this neat restaurant with an American 50s-60s theme. The third picture is the restaurant foyer where you order and all of those blue signs are choices which were totally overwhelming, so asked Zhou to just pick a variety and order for us. Oh, and in that room off to the right were a bunch of aquariums of live seafood and 30 minutes after you ordered it was on a plate on your table (now that's what I call fresh!).
The dining area was upstairs and we really neat!

Justin snoozing again |

So the dish on the left was lamb and it looked a little spicy so we asked Zhou about it and he said "No, not spicey," and since he had never steered us wrong before I took a nice bite - ack!! oh, mylanta! - I almost had to go to the emergency room ya'll! - my mouth was on fire for at least 20 minutes and I think I drank a liter of Coke! |

This fish was swimming in an aquarium downstairs not long ago |
After dinner we walked around a bit and the streets were noticeably busier than when we went into the restaurant.
These people were doing Chinese dance/exercise and it was really cool to watch.
Tonight I decided to start Justin on the antibiotic we brought and although he wasn't feeling great we did get some smiles - yay!
